GDC's SpectraComm family of products are known in the industry as "Telco Tough" because they are manufactured to stringent standards for reliability, interoperability and serviceability. The NEBS-compliance of our central office products is a key advantage, not only for GDC's carrier and service provider customers, but also for operators of mission-critical government and enterprise networks.

GDC's Xedge MSPx family of products are deployed for use in converging and migrating legacy TDM, ATM, Frame Relay and other services to packet based architectures. Forward-looking network planners not only support new and legacy services, but are also migrating towards transport technologies such as MPLS that converge Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching of “any-to-any” services. GDC’s MultiService Packet Exchange platform (MSPx) can interconnect remote enterprise sites with emerging Ethernet/IP and legacy services across an MPLS, MPLS, Ethernet, IP, VLAN, MLPS or ATM WAN.

At the heart of the MSPx platform is the Packet Cell Switch (PCx), Packet Circuit Emulation (PCE), and other modules facilitating multiservice convergence. PCx enables Metro Ethernet Forum compliant E-Line services over an MPLS, Ethernet, IP, VLAN, MLPS or ATM backbone. It also supports transport of legacy TDM, ATM,IP, VLAN and Ethernet service packets using pseudowires. A variety plug-in interfaces also support diverse services.

GDC’s PacketMate and FastSwitch routers and switches are designed for deployment in Enterprise applications where performance, scalability and Quality of Service (QoS) are mandatory. Extended temperature range options are available along with support for a diverse set of WAN interfaces including, full or fractional T1/E1, 56/64K DDS, Basic Rate ISDN, DS3/E3 and OC3/STM1. PacketMate products also include a VoIP gateway and SoftPBX along with free software upgrades. The FastSwitch Series offers a low-cost option for copper or optical fast and gigabit ethernet.

GDC’s GenPORT 3000 series is a comprehensive range of highly-featured TDM over Ethernet / IP devices that deliver very high quality, completely transparent T1/E1 circuits across different types of packet networks.These networks are typically referred to as TDM over Ethernet, TDMoIP, CESoPSN or PWE3. Products are scalable and available in standalone or rackmount configurations.
