Multiple Service Routers H3C MSR 20 Series The Multiple Service Routers (MSR) series is a brand new product portfolio of Huawei-3com oriented to multi-service applications, delivering wire speed and concurrent services of data, voice and video. To meet various demands of different industries, the Multiple Service Routers series provides customers with a unique experience of network flexibility and agility. The MSR integrates adaptive services into a single platform with high security and reliability, thus lowering network cost and uncertainty. The MSR adopts an optimized hardware and software structure to guarantee embedded security and significant performance while providing services covering Voice over IP (VoIP), business video and network analysis etc. By supporting more types of modules, MSR features higher interface density and more services availability. Considering future network expansion and versatile network applications, MSR supports open interfaces to third parties in accordance with the Open Application Architecture (OAA) standard. In addition, the MSR adopts the most advanced, COMWARE V5 software platform, providing abundant mainstream functions such as IPv6, MPLS TE etc. With newly developed high performance modules that are fully compatible with interface modules of the AR 28 and AR 46 Series, the Multiple Service Router series provides support for more advanced applications while protecting users’ long term investment. Currently, the MSR comprises of eight products in three levels of MSR 20, MSR 30 and MSR 50, meeting the demands from small and medium sized enterprises to large-scale corporations in every industry. The MSR 20 series serves as a low end access router, which is comprised of three products, the MSR 20-20, MSR 20-21 and MSR 20-40. As a low end access router oriented to small to medium sized businesses and small enterprise branch offices, The MSR 20 delivers secure, fast and concurrent services to meet various applications. With embedded hardware-based encryption, the MSR 20 greatly improves security performance. In addition, the MSR 20 supports enhanced voice functions. The MSR 20-20/21 supports analog voice functions and the MSR 20-21 integrates eight fixed switching interfaces, further reducing the customers’ investment. The MSR 20-40, supports not only analog voice, but digital voice as well. With more service module slots, the MSR 20-40 delivers high-density voice solutions at the access level. Compatible with the SIC (Smart Interface Card) modules of H3C AR 28 Series, the MSR 20 supports the enhanced and newly developed SIC modules (LSW, GE, E1/T1 Voice, etc.) to deliver more networking applications.
