Packet Cell Switch PCx
GDC’s Packet Cell Switch (PCx), is the ultimate ‘any to any’ multiservice switching platform. Designed from inception to lower overall capital and operating expenditures, the PCx enables emerging Ethernet services and applications as well as other native services within a technology neutral hybrid switching platform.
PCX enables flow-based guarantees delivering delay-sensitive IP voice and video or other high priority data, yet ensures that delay-tolerant data applications (e.g., Internet-intranet traffic, file transfers, email) receive adequate bandwidth. GDC excels in the design and deployment of bandwidth efficient networks for packet telephony and video applications and these same capabilities have been fully integrated into the architecture of the PCx.  GDC has designed and implemented hundreds of networks with layered service guarantees for all types of applications including voice, video, and data. GDC understands the practical requirements associated with delivering end to end service quality while managing costs by offering equipment with granular cost structure and capable of implementing any (IP, Ethernet, ATM, frame relay, MPLS, or TDM) transport technologies.
